The Spirit of Mino-chige:
Our Sacred Process
Every piece of jewellery that leaves our studio is more than just an adornment. It is a vessel of intention, crafted with reverence for the earth and the spirits that reside within the materials themselves. We believe that beauty is inseparable from the energy brought into the creation process.

The Rite of Cleansing
Before any bead, feather, or twig is assembled into its final form, every component undergoes a traditional smudging process.
By passing these materials through the purifying smoke of sacred medicine, we cleanse them of any history or energy they may have carried before reaching our hands. This ensures that when you wear a piece of Mino-chige jewellery, you are interacting with a clear, grounded object—one that is free from past attachments and ready to resonate solely with your own unique energy.
Mino-aadizi: Gifts from the Land
You will notice that certain pieces in our collection are marked with the Mino-aadizi designation. These are our most personal offerings, created from materials gathered directly from the natural world.
Our approach to sourcing these elements is built on the foundation of reciprocity and absolute respect for the natural world:
Only What is Gifted: We never cut, prune,
or harm living trees or plants. We act as stewards, patiently waiting for the land to release what
it is ready to give. Every piece of wood used in
these designs was found on the forest floor, already fallen and offered by nature.
The Law of Reciprocity: To take without
giving is to disrupt the balance. Every time
a material is gathered, it is met with a prayer
of gratitude and an offering of asemaa. This is our way of acknowledging the life-force of the plant and honoring the connection between the artisan and the earth.
When you wear a Mino-aadizi piece, you are not just wearing jewellery; you are wearing a story of mutual respect, a fragment of the forest that was collected with care, and a prayer for balance.
